For the past three years, Woodland Creek has been working to install EV charging stations for all its parking spots. Initially, the property planned to add only six traditional Level 2 charging stations. However, after evaluating the rapid growth of EV adoption and recognizing that many current and future residents would likely own an EV, Woodland Creek sought a more comprehensive solution.

A major challenge was the property's limited electrical capacity, which would have required costly upgrades. This constraint made a low-power Level 1 charging solution seem like the only viable option. To explore alternatives, Woodland Creek consulted with CLEAResult but found that they were exhausting all potential solutions.

Solution

CLEAResult reached out to Pando Electric to tackle the issue. Using its innovative daisy-chaining technology and adaptive load management, Pando Electric dramatically reduced costs and successfully installed 90 charging outlets. This method allows for up to ten times more high-power EV charging stations than traditional systems—at just a fraction of the cost.

Results

Now, every parking spot at Woodland Creek is equipped with an EV charging station. Thanks to a partnership with Peninsula Clean Energy (PCE), all costs were covered, saving Woodland Creek over $100,000—the largest project PCE has funded to date. With PCE incentives, Pando Electric delivered Level 2 charging speeds at a cost of under $500 per station, making it even more affordable than traditional Level 1 solutions.
