Is Pando easy to install?
Yes. Our outlets install like standard electrical devices and are built to simplify deployment.
Does Pando meet compliance requirements?
Yes. Pando products comply with OCPP, OCPI, CTEP, Energy Star, UL, and CSA standards.
Do contractors need special tools or training?
No. Installation is straightforward and does not require special equipment.
What is daisy chaining?
Daisy chaining is connecting the outlets to each other instead of wiring each individual unit back to the circuit. This significantly reduces upfront costs by 50-70%.
How does the full building management set up work?
There is a sensor installed to the top of the panel that triggers when usage turns on telling the EV outlets to lower their power.
How do I market Pando outlets?
Pando provides marketing collaboration such as flyers. We also provide training sessions on our key technology and functions.
Why can’t I just install wall outlets?
Standard wall outlets lack necessary functions such as billing, safety shutoffs, and usage tracking. This is why it’s not recommended for multifamily properties to use wall outlets.
My client are confused/skeptical about an outlet configuration.
It’s like charging a phone. At the end of the day, you go to your outlet, grab your cable, and plug in. There’s no difference with our smart outlets. If they would like a traditional look without the maintenance of one, we would recommend looking at our Pando+ option.
